Ucrete industrial floors from BASF can now be used in halal food production plants.

The certification process carried out by Halal Certification Europe includes a detailed examination of the raw materials and suppliers used in the production of urea, as well as an audit of the production site in Redditch, UK, BASF reports.

The resistant floor covering Ucrete is therefore based on a polyurethane resin technology. In addition, Ucrete is AgBB-compliant (Committee for the Health Evaluation of Building Products) and has been awarded the “Eurofins Indoor Air Comfort Gold” certificate. Ucrete is approved for use in plants working with HACCP systems for food safety. Due to its resistance to mechanical, chemical and thermal stresses, Ucrete is particularly suitable for use in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
